Haunted House at Lowell City Hall
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Lowell will transform Lowell City Hall into a not-too-spooky Haunted House, appropriate for all ages. Please note the line for the Haunted House will close promptly at 2:45PM. A fan-favorite, the Neighborhood Haunt at JFK Plaza will offer candy and activities in collaboration with local non-profits and community partners- including the Lowell Spinners.
Carnival Rides & Live Music
Stroll through Downtown Lowell, taking in the sights of carnival rides, games, and live performances. At 2:00PM, Fearless: the Taylor Swift Experience will take the stage on Merrimack Street with upbeat hits for all. The live music doesn’t stop there - starting at 4PM with free admission to the public in the Rockland Trust Lot, New England favorite Jim Plunkett and Boston’s finest funk band, Booty Vortex will keep you dancing and Top Shelf Concessions will be on-hand with beer and wine for the adults. Show up early to Jim Plunkett's show at 4PM, and you may score a special Bicentennial hat!
Lowell's First Drone Show
The day of festivities will end with Lowell’s first-ever drone show at 6:30PM. Synchronized drones take to the sky in detailed formation to depict Lowell iconography, celebrating 200 years of innovation, momentum, and opportunity. Gather your friends and family to witness a piece of our City’s history light up the night sky in the Rockland Trust lot.
Family Quiet Spaces
In support of making the fun accessible to all Lowellians, family quiet spaces will be available to the public during the event. These locations are open to neurodivergent individuals, nursing parents, or those who may need a break. Pollard Memorial Library, located next door to Lowell City Hall at 401 Merrimack Street, will serve as a quiet space from 12:00PM-3:00PM. In addition, the Health Department, located at 107 Merrimack Street, will be open from 1:00PM-5:00PM.
