An authorized Monroe Institute® workshop | Sarasota, FL | October 24–25, 2026You've probably heard of the Gateway tapes. They come from the Monroe Institute, and Exploring Consciousness is the Institute's official two-day workshop based on the first two days of its renowned Gateway Voyage residential program.
Gateway Voyage usually means traveling to the Monroe Institute's campus in Virginia. Exploring Consciousness brings those foundational experiences here to Sarasota, taught live and in person by a certified Monroe Institute Outreach Trainer.
Here's the part most people don't expect: you don't need to know how to meditate.
You lean back in your own zero-gravity reclining chair, put on headphones, and close your eyes. No posture to hold. No previous experience needed. Nothing you're required to believe.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPLORE
• Focus 10 | "Mind Awake, Body Asleep"
Deep physical relaxation while your mind remains clear and aware
• Focus 12 | "Expanded Awareness"
A widened state of awareness used to explore perception, intuition, inner guidance, and your own consciousness
• Eight guided Hemi-Sync® sessions
With time between exercises to rest, journal, reflect, and optionally share your experiences in a supportive group
This is experiential rather than lecture-heavy. You'll actually practice entering and exploring these states for yourself.
WHY PEOPLE COME
Some come for deep relaxation. Others are curious about expanded awareness, intuition, creativity, inner guidance, or gaining a different perspective on questions they've been carrying for a long time.
There is no particular experience you're supposed to have. The point is to explore, notice what happens for you, and begin developing tools you can continue using after the workshop.
