Join Teesside artist, Jessica Leigh, for the perfect taster workshop to introduce you to printmaking with oil pastels.
This is a great way to learn posh tracing and how to work with oil pastels. Every print is one of a kind. You can't make the same one twice, which takes the pressure off.
In the workshop you'll cover a sheet of paper in oil pastel, and create a design with a pencil. From simple lines, to patterns, marks, or any other design you can think of. The colour comes through grainy and a little unpredictable. But that's part of what makes print making fun.
You'll go home with a stack of prints at the end of the workshop. This will include a print of your own idea of the town you live in. You'll also leave ready to keep making your own posh tracing prints at home. All you'll need is some paper and pastels to keep practicing your skills!
