Join us for a fascinating evening with Rosie Fielder, the only Cumbrian contributor to this remarkable international project.The Longest Yarn: Britain at War is an 80-metre knitted and crocheted exhibition that brings the stories, sacrifices and resilience of the Second World War to life through stunning handcrafted scenes. Following its successful exhibition at Rheged, it is now touring the UK.
Rosie was part of the talented team who helped create this unique exhibition. She'll share the story behind the project, what it was like to be involved, and the incredible craftsmanship, collaboration and research that went into bringing history to life, one stitch at a time.
Whether you're interested in history, knitting and crochet, or simply enjoy hearing inspiring local stories, this promises to be an engaging evening.
