About this Event
The Bay’s fashion school empowers youth ages 8-18 to build creativity, technical sewing skills, and confidence through hands-on projects
Fashion School at The Bay is a six-week long workshop designed for youth ages 8 to 18 who are excited about exploring the world of fashion design and sewing. Tailored for beginners and youth with some experience, this hands-on course introduces students to foundational sewing techniques, from machine operation to fabric cutting and basic garment construction. Over the six weeks, youth will work on creating a series of projects that allow them to apply their new sewing skills creatively.
Fashion School sessions at The Bay in Lincoln are now requiring pre-registration.* Registration includes free use of our sewing machines, materials and fabric on-site. You’re also welcome to bring your fabric! *A waiver MUST be completed by a guardian prior to attending.*

About The Bay
The Bay is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, where we believe kids can only dream as big as they’ve seen. Young people need culturally relevant programming and talent-building education to connect the dots between their organic interests and the jobs of tomorrow. That's why we do what we do — the future of our community depends on it. At The Bay, we know when we invest in our youth, they invest in Nebraska. Learn more at thebay.org.
