Marie Antoinette | PGSofia Coppola’s sumptuous reimagining of the life of France’s most infamous queen stars Kirsten Dunst as a teenage Marie Antoinette, whisked from Austria to Versailles and plunged into a world of elaborate gowns, extravagant parties and suffocating royal expectations. Set to a radically anachronistic soundtrack and dripping in pastel decadence, the film transforms the familiar historical figure into an intimate portrait of youth, loneliness and life lived under a very public microscope.

Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson star in Sofia Coppola’s Oscar-winning Lost in Translation, as a fading American actor and a young woman adrift in Tokyo form an unexpected connection while both find themselves far from home. Funny, melancholic and effortlessly cool, the film captures the peculiar intimacy of two strangers finding solace in each other amid the neon-lit strangeness of an unfamiliar city.
