About this Event
Our resource centre will be transformed into a small jungle gym, where children will have the opportunity to climb, practice balance, and play jumping games! Also, the tables and sensory bin will be filled with fine motor activities that will promote strength building and finger muscle control!
Who can participate: Parents and caregivers with walkers to 5 years old. You are welcome to bring younger siblings along.
When: October 5th, from 1:30pm to 3:30 pm
Where: 333 Churchill Avenue North, Ottawa.
This event will take place at the resource centre of Children’s Village of Ottawa-Carleton, located at the back of the building.
You can access this entrance on foot through the employee parking lot.
What to expect:
Gross motor activities such as climbing rock wall, balance beam, stepping stones, trampoline, jumping games, among others!
Fine motor activities such as playdough, fizzy experiments, puzzles, beads, matching activity, among others.
Snack is included and will be served at 2:30 pm.
Schedule
1:30-3:15 - Free play. Children are invited to engage in the activities set up.
2:15 pm - movements songs
2:30 pm - Snack time for those who would like to eat
3:30 pm - closing.
Time to go home! Thanks for coming :)
What to bring: indoor shoes and a water bottle.
Important notes:
*Don’t worry if you arrive a little later or need to leave early. We want everyone to feel comfortable and to participate at their own pace. Just make sure to register to save your spot!
*Parking note. Please note that we have no parking on site. You can find free 3-hour parking on nearby streets such as Wilmont Ave, Whitby Ave, or Madison Ave, or paid 2-hour parking along Churchill Avenue.
If you come walking, stroller parking is available at the back by the entrance door.
*This is not a drop-off program. Parents and caregivers are required to stay.
