About this Event
This will be our third year holding this event! Previously called Momo Anime Market, Momo Anime Event turns the community part of Momiji Seniors Centre into a fandom utopia! Young or old, casual or hardcore fan, all are welcome to come connect with new friends, shop, and learn new things.
Momo Anime Event is a "Culture through Pop-Culture" festival that is dedicated to celebrate and share Japanese and Japanese Canadian culture using anime and manga as a vehicle to connect the community. Throughout the weekend, we will introduce attendees to the Japanese culture, traditions, foods, and history that inspires the medium. Along with the vendor market, we will have interactive workshops, educational panels, and demonstrations.
? Our vendor market includes a wonderful selection of artists and crafters, food vendors to keep you fueled, and a Kids Zone with activities for kids by kids!

This event helps raise funds for Momiji Health Care Society, which offers culturally sensitive care to seniors living at our Seniors Centre and out in the community. You are also supporting local artists, entrepreneurs, and businesses!
