ONE NIGHT ONLY
Before you step onto the haunted streets of Galveston after dark, you'll want some protection. Join us for an evening of magic and spirits that begins inside Herb & Smudge Apothecary, where head apothecary Rose will guide you through the ancient tradition of creating your own mojo bag, a small charm meant to carry your intentions and offer protection from whatever we encounter later.
Once your bag is tied and blessed, we'll step out into the night for a ghost tour along the historic Strand, beginning with an exclusive after-hours visit to the haunted railyard, a location not typically open to the public after dark. Along the way, we'll test our new charms against the accumulated restlessness of one of the most haunted and storied stretches of the island.
This is a limited, one-time event combining folk magic and dark history. Our group size will be intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate.

Adult content not appropriate for children under the age of 13.
We'll be walking at a leisurely pace, taking time to see if you can capture photos of ghosts through windows and on the street like so many have before. But don't be surprised if someone unseen tugs on your sleeve, or you feel a chill in the air...it's just their way of saying "hello."
Your host is Kathleen Maca, the author of "Galveston's Broadway Cemeteries," "Ghosts of Galveston," "Ghostly Tales of Galveston," "A History of the Hotel Galvez" and "Galveston's Tremont House." A local historian and writer, she has spent over 45 years researching historic cemeteries and folklore.
Her tours are recommended by the Texas Historic Commission, Visit Galveston, Texas Highways and Texas Monthly Magazine. She has been named the Certified Tourism Ambassador of the Year for 2026.
Comfortable walking shoes highly recommended.
No video or audio recording allowed during the tour. STILL PHOTOS ARE ENCOURAGED-you never know who or what you might capture!

Guide takes no responsibility for injuries incurred during tour. Guests will be required to sign a waiver before entering the railyard. There are limited restroom opportunities on The Strand, so it is encouraged to "take care of business" ahead of time.
Tour will be given rain or shine except in the case of a severe thunderstorm. Ticket fee is non-refundable.
Don't worry about printing your e-tickets - I'll have the guest roster with me.
A portion of ticket fee will be donated to support the Galveston Railroad Museum.
