About this Event
Join filmmaker Jeff Fong for a hands-on workshop exploring what it actually looks like to direct actors on set.
With more than 20 years of filmmaking experience, Jeff is an award-winning, Emmy-nominated filmmaker who has directed narrative films, documentaries, commercials, and productions ranging from intimate performances to large-scale sets. He is also the founder of The Film Squad and Modest Film Society.
Rather than simply talking about directing, Jeff will work live with two actors on a scene, giving direction, making adjustments, and running the scene repeatedly so you can see firsthand how a director can shape a performance.
After an intermission, two new actors will take on a different scene, allowing us to explore how the directing process changes with different performers and material.
There will be opportunities for Q&A throughout the workshop, with light snacks and drinks provided.
