Whether you're a stationery lover, DIY bride-to-be, or simply looking for a fun fall activity, you'll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink.
During this 1.5-hour workshop, we'll cover all the basics to help you confidently create beautiful lettering for holiday cards, seasonal décor, gift tags, wedding paper, snail mail, and more. It's the perfect excuse to slow down, sip something warm, and enjoy a crafty autumn evening!
✨ Your ticket includes:
• 1.5 hours of instruction and live demonstration
• A beginner's calligraphy kit (2 nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder)
• All materials needed during class
**This themed class also includes place cards that we will be lettering on the last part of class!
Best of all, everything is yours to keep so you can continue practicing long after class!
Class Expectations:
This workshop is designed with beginners in mind—yes, lefties are welcome! We'll teach the fundamentals and help you get comfortable using your pen and ink so you'll leave with the confidence to continue practicing at home. We use tracing paper and lettering guides to build muscle memory and encourage you to develop your own unique style. If you've dabbled in calligraphy before, this class also makes a wonderful refresher and gives you the opportunity to try new supplies included in your beginner kit.

A note on bringing guests 21 and under: While we love to share this passion with kids, this class will be held in a 21+ area of Urban Family. Check out our other classes at all ages venues!
