Pete Carney is the Director of Jazz at the State College of Florida and a respected figure in the jazz community. In his role, Pete not only leads the college’s jazz program but also actively performs in a variety of settings.
He is frequently featured in both faculty concerts and community events. One notable recent performance is the "Inferno: SCF Music Faculty on Fire" concert, where he showcased his saxophone and compositional talents alongside other world-class faculty members.
Additionally, Pete Carney and his quartet have been featured at events like Monday Night Jazz at FST’s John C. Court Cabaret, where they present a program rich with classic jazz, blues, and soul influences, connecting audiences to the history of the music through engaging performances.
