6-7pm - Bob Ekstrand
Bob Ekstrand was motivated to learn the guitar after seeing and hearing the Beatles on television in 1964. He began playing professionally in 1971, and occasionally still performs in public. Bob continues to find inspiration in the guitar.
7-9pm - Mateo-Wise-Susag Trio
Scott Mateo Davies has a five decade career of guitar performance, embracing many genres, including flamenco, classical, tango, jazz, and pop. Following twelve years leading the nationally recognized pop group, The Rogues, he relocated to Madrid, Spain. He retrained as a flamenco guitarist with teachers Aquilino Jimenez "El Entri," David Serva, and Felipe Maya. He has performed with some of the great flamenco artists, including Manolete (Granada), and Cuca de Grana, Jose Barrios, and Chele de Cadiz and also recorded three flamenco CDs.
Tabla drummer Marcus Wise learned his artistry under the loving guidance of his Guru, the legendary Diam Ali Qadri of Jaipur, India. He has performed on stages throughout the USA and abroad accompanying Classical East Indian music but also featured in a wide spectrum of musical genres.
Peter Susag has performed as a multi-instrumentalist in the genres of flamenco, jazz, and tango. Currently his focus is on the rubab, an ancient lute from the classical traditions of South Asia.
