With the Royal Train to be decommissioned in early 2027, this presentation celebrates 150 plus years of association with Wolverton Works via its builds, maintenance and operation, and specifically highlighting the unique duties of the generations of Wolverton’s skilled staff and their relationship with the Royal Family whilst travelling with the Royal Train.Your host is Mike Corbett, who formerly managed the Royal Train team, often on journeys. The presentation will include a number of photographs, some to be shown for the first time and with anecdotes spread across the generations of the skilled staff who have contributed to its success over 150 years.
