Mixed Media Workshop for Kids 8-12 Years
Hey parents! Got creative kids aged 8 to 12 years? Bring them along to our Mixed Media workshop where they’ll dive into fun, hands-on art projects using all sorts of materials. It’s a fantastic way for them to explore their imagination and make cool stuff while hanging out with others their age. This is an in-person event, so get ready for some colourful fun!
? What Will Kids Do?
In this hands-on Mixed Media Art Workshop, children will:
- Experiment with a variety of art materials such as paint, paper, fabric, textures, and found objects
- Create their own unique artwork by layering, cutting, glueing, and painting
- Explore different art techniques through guided activities and creative play
- Work on individual projects while sharing ideas and inspiration with other kids their age
- Get a little messy and have a lot of fun in a supportive, in-person studio environment
? What Will They Learn?
By the end of the workshop, kids will:
- Develop creative confidence and express their ideas visually
- Learn how to combine different materials to create one cohesive artwork
- Improve fine motor skills, problem-solving, and artistic decision-making
- Practice patience, focus, and following creative instructions

All supplies are provided, including:
• Canvas, Paint, Tools,
• Fabric scraps, lace, or ribbons
• Scrapbooking paper, newspapers, magazines,
• Glue and Mod Podge
• Found objects (buttons, beads)
• Stencils and stamps
• Scissors and craft knives
• Sponges, toothbrushes (for texture)
• Metallic pens or leafing

No experience needed, just bring their creativity; they will start with a small snack. (nut-free snack, bear paw and apple juice)
