Mixed Media workshop for kids 8-12 years

Hey parents! Got creative kids aged 8 to 12 years? Bring them along to our Mixed Media workshop where they’ll dive into fun, hands-on art projects using all sorts of materials. It’s a fantastic way for them to explore their imagination and make cool stuff while hanging out with others their age. This is an in-person event, so get ready for some colourful fun!

In this hands-on Mixed Media Art Workshop, children will:

• Experiment with a variety of art materials such as paint, paper, fabric, textures, and found objects
• Create their own unique artwork by layering, cutting, glueing, and painting
• Explore different art techniques through guided activities and creative play
• Work on individual projects while sharing ideas and inspiration with other kids their age
• Get a little messy and have a lot of fun in a supportive, in-person studio environment

By the end of the workshop, kids will:

• Develop creative confidence and express their ideas visually
• Learn how to combine different materials to create one cohesive artwork
• Improve fine motor skills, problem-solving, and artistic decision-making
• Practice patience, focus, and following creative instructions
• Experience collaboration, self-expression, and pride in making something entirely their own

• Scrapbooking paper, newspapers, magazines,

• Found objects (buttons, beads)

• Sponges, toothbrushes (for texture)

• Metallic pens or leafing

No experience needed, just bring their creativity; they will start with a small snack. (nut-free snack, bear paw and apple juice)
