Join artists Lucas Wright and his creative mentor Claudie Frock for a creative and fun filled workshop for young people inspired by the mixed media artworks, mediums and techniques in his exhibition 'Lucas and the Midsomer Murders'.
The workshop will include, drawing, collage and paper sculptural techniques, and will prompt the young participants to develop collages, diaoramas, models and paper sculptures based on their favourite, TV shows, movies, and popular culture.
Drinks and snacks are provided, so just bring yourself and your creativity.
Spaces are limited so book now.
Lucas Wright is a contemporary artist with Down Syndrome living in the Northern Rivers region. He draws inspiration from Western art landscape and architectural painting, and popular cultural imagery from his favourite television programs, movies, games and comics.
Claudie Frock is a socially-engaged, multidisciplinary artist, community engagement specialist, creative mentor, educator, access advocate and collaborator, based in Georgica on Bundjalung Land. She creates pigments from foraged plants, lichens, exploring transformation and ecological cycles.
These workshop are funded by the NSW Office for Youth Holiday Break program.
