When the time of the year arrives where the air turns crips and the smell of hot chocolate and cinnamon fills the streets once again, we know it’s time to whip out the winter wines.
Join us at Humble Grape Liverpool Street and taste the lovely and heart-warming wines we are hot for when the temperature drops. After a welcome drink, join our wine team in tasting six glasses of deep, creamy wines ranging from full-bodied reds to winter whites.
If you fall in love with the wines on the night, your ticket includes a £20 voucher to redeem on the evening towards any case of six wines. Our team will be on hand to arrange it for you.

The best way to kick off a Christmas get-together. Fine, lively bubbles and a crisp, elegant finish get everyone in the festive spirit from the first sip.
Weingut Würtzberg, Saar Riesling, 2025, Mosel, Germany
Think of this as the frosty morning walk of the line-up. It's grown on the steep slate slopes of the Saar, one of the coolest corners of the Mosel. This young Riesling is bright, zesty and full of energy, with crisp citrus, green apple and that unmistakable slatey snap. It's a brilliant way to wake up the palate.
Domaine Michel Vattan, Cuvée 'O-P' Sancerre Blanc, 2024, Loire Valley, France
If Sauvignon Blanc has a Sunday best, it's Sancerre. From the chalky, flinty hills at the eastern end of the Loire, this one is all fresh citrus, gooseberry and a whisper of smoky minerality. It's lovely on its own and a dream with smoked salmon or goat's cheese on the Christmas spread.
Domaine Garnier & Fils, Chablis, 2022, Burgundy, France
Chablis is Chardonnay at its most crisp and clear-headed. The vines grow on limestone packed with fossilised oyster shells, left over from when the region sat under an ancient sea. The result is steely, citrusy and refreshingly pure, with a salty edge that makes it a natural partner for seafood. As the "& Fils" suggests, this is a family affair, and it's classic Chablis done properly.
Hawkshead, Pinot Noir, 2022, Central Otago, New Zealand
Central Otago is one of the most southerly wine regions on the planet, with vines growing among snow-capped mountains and glacial lakes. It has become one of the world's great homes of Pinot Noir. Expect bright cherry and raspberry, a touch of spice and silky, gentle tannins. It's the kind of red that's made for turkey and all the trimmings.
Fattoria Lornano, 'Le Bandite', Chianti Classico Riserva, 2019, Tuscany, Italy
Look out for the black rooster on the bottle: it's the badge of true Chianti Classico, from the hills between Florence and Siena. As a Riserva, this Sangiovese-led red has been aged for at least two years before release, which gives it extra depth. Think sour cherry, dried herbs, leather and a hint of spice. Made for roast meats, rich ragù and leisurely second helpings.
Château Sigalas-Rabaud, 'Lieutenant de Sigalas', 2020, Sauternes, France
We're saving the sweetest for last. Sigalas-Rabaud is one of Sauternes' First Growths in the famous 1855 Classification, and Lieutenant de Sigalas is its second wine. Autumn mists rolling off the Ciron river bring on noble rot, which concentrates the grapes into golden nectar full of apricot, honey and candied orange peel. Christmas pudding, blue cheese and mince pies are all fair game.
