Happy Hour on the Mississippi River!
We're thrilled to announce that we'll be hosting our next gathering aboard the Living Lands and Waters barge on September 29th from 5:30–8:00 PM, docked right beneath the iconic Gateway Arch.
Getting There
Address: 50 S Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd, St. Louis
Parking: FREE! Simply drive through the levee parking booth and let the attendant know you're attending the Living Lands and Waters event. Follow the road until you spot the barge (look for the ruler and pencil poles ) and park on the cobblestone. Then, come aboard!
Food & Drinks
Bring your own food. The Alpine Shop is providing beer, but you're welcome to bring your own drinks. Drinking water will also be available on the barge. Please bring a reusable water bottle. Cups will be provided if needed, but we'd love to keep this a waste-free event!
What to Wear
Close-toed shoes are required due to potential tripping hazards on board. There is a chance of rain so be sure to check the weather beforehand and consider dressing in layers. While the barge has heating and cooling, we may open the garage doors on pleasant evenings to soak in the river views.
Event Itinerary
When the event kicks off, the Living Lands and Waters team will welcome everyone with a brief introduction about who they are and what the Mississippi River Institute is all about, followed by a short safety talk (approximately 10–15 minutes).

Tech & Logistics
Please ensure your phone is fully charged before arriving, as outlets on the barge are limited.
A/V equipment is available — let me know in advance if you'd like to use it.
Attendance is capped at 40 people. While you're welcome to spread the word, please be selective with invitations and only register if you genuinely plan to attend.
P.S. Yes, there are bathrooms on the barge!
