MISIO – Young Innovators of Intelligent Machining Systems Dear Colleagues,
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Lublin University of Technology (Poland)
is pleased to invite your students and doctoral candidates to participate in the international educational programme:
MISIO – Young Innovators of Intelligent Machining Systems
The project is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the SPINAKER – Intensive International Education Programmes initiative and aims to strengthen international cooperation in engineering education while providing participants with practical competencies in advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 5.0.
Programme Overview
The programme focuses on practical training in Siemens NX CAM, one of the world's leading CAD/CAM systems used in modern manufacturing companies.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Micro-Credential Certificate documenting the acquired competencies.
Programme Format
Language: English
Duration: 50 teaching hours
Training format:
1 day of online classes
4 days of on-site laboratory training at Lublin University of Technology
The practical part of the programme will be conducted in modern CAD/CAM laboratories equipped with Siemens NX CAM software, industrial CNC machining centres and virtual machining simulators.
Planned Schedule
Five editions of the programme are planned between April 2027 and October 2027.
The detailed schedule will be communicated to selected participants before the start of each edition.
Eligible Participants
The programme is open to:
Bachelor's students
Master's students
Doctoral candidates
with an academic background or interest in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, CAD/CAM technologies, CNC machining, automation, production engineering or related fields.
A total of 50 international participants will be selected:
40 students
10 doctoral candidates
Financial Support
Participation in the programme is free of charge.
Selected participants will receive financial support funded by NAWA covering scholarship, accommodation, living expenses and travel costs.
Students and doctoral candidates
Each student receives:
Scholarship: PLN 450
Each doctoral candidate receives:
Scholarship: PLN 750
Both groups receive:
Accommodation and living allowance: PLN 1,800
Travel grant according to the participant's country of residence: PLN 1,500-3,000
Total Financial support ranges from 3750 PLN (~ 880 EUR) up to 5550 PLN (~ 1300 EUR)
The financial support covers the entire mobility period, including four training days and two travel days.
The amounts presented above are gross amounts. Any tax treatment of scholarships and allowances will be determined in accordance with applicable regulations and the participant's tax status.
