Music in Offices' Culture Club is delighted to invite our members to the stunning St Michael Cornhill, offering an opportunity to connect with fellow members while enjoying the ancient tradition of choral service. An especially significant venue for Music in Offices, our CEO Tessa Marchington proudly serves as a Councillor for the City of London Corporation in the Cornhill Ward.
Choral services have been central to the life of St Michael’s for many centuries – a choir of boys, professional lay clerks and chantry priests, sang three daily services in 1375. The weekly Choral Evensong continues this ancient tradition with a fine professional choir and the magnificent historic organ. The music is enhanced by the church’s inspirational acoustic and is partnered by the beautiful architecture.
The evening will begin with an insightful talk in the Vestry from 5:30pm, Evensong will start at 6pm for 50mins, followed by local drinks.
