This is a self-guided viewing moment, not an organized meetup or hosted gathering — come and go as you please. On Wednesday, October 28, low tide at La Jolla falls to −0.77 ft (−0.23 m) at 5:51 PM.
That clears the mark the National Park Service sets for Cabrillo National Monument, just down the coast: a tide of 0.7 ft or lower gives the best look into the tidepools. Arrive while there is light, and be off the rocks before dark.
Predictions come from NOAA and are not for navigation. Watch the surf, and never turn your back on the ocean.
