We will start with connecting back to ourselves, the earth, and each other through meditation, grounding exercises, and down regulation tools. We will observe the horse behavior and learn about the signs a horse shows us when they are feeling at peace. Then, we will ask to connect with the horses here at the farm if we are invited to do so. You do not need to have horse experience to participate. All are welcome. Connecting with the horses could look like but is not limited to:
Sharing space
Working with the inside of the horse
Leading around the field
Adding energy
Dancing w/ horses
Liberty play
Blindfolded work
Leadership exercises
Gentling a mustang
Introducing new ideas to horses at a pace that suits them
Obstacle play
Mounting block work
Just simply enjoying company
This is a day to allow our intuitions to come alive and see where it guides us, with a very loose agenda in mind. Bring creativity and questions!
To bring:
Water and lunch
Chair or mat to sit
Any equipment you like to use with your horses
Appropriate clothing/shoes
Any tools/skills you have to bring you inward
