
About this Event
Join me for a hike through Central Park. We'll enter at the West 72nd St/Central Park West entrance and hike for approximately 30 minutes pausing for a 5 minute guided mediation in The Ramble followed by a 15-20 minute nature journaling session where we'll write, sketch, trace, doodle, or notate our impressions, after which we'll hike out of The Ramble, up to Belvedere Castle, and out through the Shakespeare Garden, exiting at 81th street (Natural History Museum).

- I recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes
- Pencils & journals are provided (or feel free to bring your own)

- Wear sunscreen and bug spray if you're sensitive to bug bites (& I'll have some on hand)
engage participants with nature threefold; the hike immerses us in nature, the meditation quiets the nervous system, and the journaling provides the means to closely observe and thereby connect more deeply with nature within the NYC.
Jessica Dalrymple is a Brooklyn based artist, teacher, and horticulturist. She teaches botanical drawing and leads Nature Journaling Hikes through NYC parks and green spaces. She has taught and led events for nature forward organizations including: Gowanus Dredgers, The Old Stone House Brooklyn, Human Impacts Institute, Molly Oliver Flowers, Remedies Herb Shop, Trestle Art Space, and more.
