About this Event
A Vital Wave × Salinair Salt Room Spa Experience
Breathe. Reset. Reconnect.
Life moves quickly. Between responsibilities, relationships, work, and the constant demands of everyday life, it's easy to lose touch with ourselves. We spend so much time caring for others and keeping up with daily demands that we often forget to make time for ourselves.
On Tuesday, November 17, 2026 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Salinair Salt Room Spa is hosting the Mind-Body Reset, an introductory 9D Breathwork experience in the Large Salt Cave led by Jillian Koehler, BSN, RN, co-founder of Vital Wave. This small-group experience combines intentional breathing, immersive music, layered sound, and guided coaching inside the salt cave, creating space to pause, reset, and reconnect with yourself.
At Vital Wave, we believe wellness should be accessible in real life. Through breathwork, nervous system education, and resilience-building practices, we help people reconnect with their bodies, build awareness, and discover tools they can carry into everyday life.
What You're Walking Into
You don't need previous breathwork experience, special skills, or a particular mindset to participate. Simply come as you are.
At Vital Wave, we view the breath as a practical way to reconnect with the brain, heart, and body. By bringing awareness to our breathing, we have an opportunity to notice what we're feeling, become more aware of our responses to everyday challenges, and practice being more present.
This isn't about doing it perfectly or forcing a particular outcome. It's about giving yourself space to pause, listen, and discover what you need in the moment.
How the Session Works
This is 9D Breathwork inside the only dedicated active halotherapy cave in Oakland County. For 45 minutes of your session, every deep breath carries dry, pharmaceutical-grade salt from a commercial halogenerator, a pairing you won't find in any other breathwork class.
- Introduction and grounding: we welcome you into the salt cave, help you get comfortable, and introduce the fundamentals of breathwork and its relationship to the nervous system.
- The 9D Breathwork journey: settle in with your headphones and eye mask for an immersive experience combining intentional breathing, music, layered sound, visualization, and guided coaching. You're invited to turn inward, listen to your body, and explore the experience at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
- Integration and reflection: after the journey, we gently return to the present, reconnect with natural breathing, and reflect on your experience. Everyone's experience is different, and there's no right or wrong way to feel.
Our hope is that you leave with a renewed sense of connection to yourself and a greater appreciation for how intentional breathing can become part of your everyday wellness routine.
What Breathwork May Support
Intentional breathing and mindfulness practices may help support:
- Relaxation and everyday stress management
- Greater awareness of breathing and body sensations
- Emotional awareness and personal reflection
- Mindfulness, presence, and mental clarity
- Resilience and a stronger mind-body connection
- Making space for yourself amid everyday demands
Halotherapy, Included
Halotherapy means breathing in salt. A commercial halogenerator grinds pharmaceutical-grade salt into particles of 1 to 5 microns, fine enough to travel past the nose and throat and deep into the airways. According to the Salt Therapy Association, dry salt attracts moisture, so as you breathe it in, it helps thin mucus and supports your airways' natural self-cleaning process, which can make breathing feel easier. The practice began in the salt mines of Eastern Europe, and Salinair Salt Room Spa has offered it in Rochester Hills for 12+ years. During this experience you get 45 minutes of active halotherapy, a $50 value on its own, included in your ticket. Halotherapy is a complementary wellness practice and does not replace medical care.
What to Bring
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. We provide the essentials for your experience, including headphones, an eye mask, and comfort items. After you book, please complete the short Vital Wave intake form so Jillian can prepare for your session.
