🧶❤️ BAYHEALTH HOSPITAL PROJECT — LET’S FINISH TOGETHER! ❤️🧶Dear Crochet Family,
We’re getting close to completing our Bayhealth Project, and what a beautiful project this has become!
If you’re currently working on a baby blanket, shawl, or lap blanket for Bayhealth, we’d love for everyone to start finishing up their pieces and have them ready by October 6.
We’re especially excited because on Tuesday, October 6, during our 3:00–5:00 PM gathering at Milton Public Library, we’ll be welcoming Joanne, Volunteer Services Manager with Bayhealth, who will personally join us to receive everything we’ve created. ❤️
But this visit is about much more than simply picking up our donations.
Joanne will have the opportunity to meet the people behind these handmade pieces and learn more about who we are, what our Crochet Club does, how this project came together, and the incredible amount of time our members have volunteered to create each item. She’ll also share with us a little about Bayhealth’s volunteer services and how handmade donations like ours can bring warmth and comfort to patients.
We would especially love for our members to share their stories. Some joined us already knowing how to crochet, while others came as complete beginners, learned their first stitches with us, and are now using those same hands to make something for someone else. That is what makes this project so special.
If you contributed an item, please think about approximately how many hours you spent making it. It doesn’t need to be exact. We’d love to show not only how many beautiful pieces our community created, but also how many volunteer hours and how much care went into them.
Please drop off your completed Bayhealth pieces to the shop or bring them with you on October 6. We want Mis Joanne to meet the hands and hearts behind this project—and we want our members to see the full circle of giving: learning a stitch, creating something with our own hands, and meeting the people who help carry those gifts to the patients who will receive them. ❤️
Then we’ll celebrate what we accomplished together and get ready to put our hooks to work on our next community project! 🧶💕
