We are huge supporters of This Girl Can’s “Let’s Lift The Curfew” campaign which started in 2023 - the campaign aims to raise awareness for women running or walking alone after dark. We were invited to launch the Manchester event and led a guided run around the city centre - lots of the runners that came along told us how vulnerable or unsafe they felt during darker nights and how that fear impacted their usual exercise routine.
At MileShyClub we believe every woman has the right to feel safe to exercise at any time of the day or night - that’s why this year MileShyClub are inviting any lone female runners to join us throughout the campaign (WC 26th October) to experience how running with a club can make exercising after dark feel so much safer.
MileShyClub is a supportive and inclusive running club that welcomes everyone - when we say “No One Gets Left Behind” we really mean it. See you there!
