About this Event
The official launch of Mike Watts' amazing new collection "Self Checkout". We will have Mike reading from his new collection, and music from the best band around, the brilliant Buckfast Tramp. We'll also have a One Hat Q and A with Mike, special book offers and a pre gig film show.
Mike Watts is described as the British Bukowski, with poetry that takes no prisoners but that also possesses a sympathetic and microscopic insight into the human condition.
He has a fine eye for detail and a flair for biting ironic humour which is both beautiful and harrowing,
Mike has appeared with John Cooper Clarke, Kate Tempest, Ian McMillan, and has published four collections of poetry.
