A Two - Day Primer with Evening Concert.Join Mike Tamburo for an immersive, all-levels workshop exploring the essential techniques and expressive possibilities of gong playing. Whether you're new to the gong or an experienced player, this session offers a focused primer on foundational touch, tone and musicality--followed by a Saturday evening concert for the participants.

Drumming on a Muted Gong
This workshop emphasizes deepening your connection with the mallet, building a foundational vocabulary of strokes and textures, and developing sensitivity to dynamics and resonance.
The workshop is designed into 4 sessions- 3 hrs each over 2 days. Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday 12pm - 3pm session A
Saturday 4pm - 7pm session B
Sunday 9am - 12pm session C
Sunday 1pm - 4pm session D
Cost: $350 advance tickets till November 1st.
$400 after November 1st
Bio: Mike Tamburo is a world renowned musician, composer, artist, and educator known for his transformational live concerts performed on a personally curated set of gongs, bells, hammered dulcimer and other metal insturments.
He is also a gong teacher, an interdisciplinary sound artist, instrument builder, video artist, sound therapist, writer and meditation teacher.
