?On 21st of June 2026, in Reagan’s Park, we will celebrate the shortest night of the year in the traditional Slavic way by making and floating flower crowns, jumping over the bonfire, looking for the fern flower, and dancing. You are welcome to wear the thematic outfit.??
WHAT IS THIS WHOLE THING???
?Midsummer Night, is one of the oldest and most important celebrations in Slavic culture. It takes place around the summer solstice and symbolizes the triumph of light, life, and fertility. Traditional customs include lighting bonfires, singing, dancing, and floating flower wreaths on rivers. According to Slavic folklore, this magical night was believed to be a time when nature possessed special powers and people could find the legendary fern flower, a symbol of happiness and prosperity.?
Today, Midsummer Night remains a popular cultural event that connects modern communities with their ancient Slavic heritage.
