A Call to Unity and Action

These events build upon the January 19, 2026 unveiling of the UNESCO Middle Passage Port Marker at Lewis Landing, transforming a moment of sacred local recognition into a national and international movement.

Africatown—founded by survivors of the Clotilda in 1860—stands today as a powerful symbol of resilience, self-determination, and cultural continuity.

The July 2026 convening is more than an event—it is a movement-building moment that:

 Connects communities across geography and generations

 Elevates youth as leaders of the future

 Centers truth, healing, and reconciliation

 Builds a sustainable network of remembrance and action

This work is grounded in a shared belief: Remembrance must lead to connection. Connection must lead to healing. Healing must lead to action.
