About this Event
We would be delighted to welcome you to the annual Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, presented by Hotspot Central Gastrohome in Leiden. The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is an important traditional Chinese cultural event held every year to celebrate the fullest and brightest moon in the lunar calendar and to coincide with the Autumn harvest time.
The festival is held to celebrate gathering of friends and family, giving thanks for wellbeing, new opportunities and friendships, and wishing for good fortune in the year to come. A little like Thanksgiving with symbolic food and drinks.
Attendees can expect a fun afternoon with the following:
🏹 Storytelling of Chang e and Hou Yi. How does this story relate to the moon festival celebrated in Chinese culture each autumn.
🎼 traditional Guzheng live music by artist Miss Yuehuai 月徊
While enjoying traditional symbolic foods such as:

🎑 tang yuan tasting, a tradtional must.
