About this Event
Choral Evensong is one of the great treasures of the Church of England: an inheritance of Scripture, prayer and music which has shaped Anglican worship for centuries. In the midst of the noise and haste of London, it offers a chance to do nothing except listen, pray and be still.
At St Giles-in-the-Fields, we are delighted this year to have appointed ten Choral Scholars, giving gifted early career singers an opportunity to develop their craft within the musical life of one of London's historic churches. For our Michaelmas Evensong they join forces with the St Giles Evensong Choir, the only voluntary choir in central London to sing Choral Evensong every week.
