Music Compound’s Album Ensemble presents Michael Jackson’s Thriller—performed live, track by track!
Join us on Saturday, October 31, or Sunday, November 1, at Music Compound for an unforgettable tribute to one of the most iconic and influential albums of all time.
Our talented teen and adult musicians, alongside Music Compound instructors, have spent weeks rehearsing, collaborating, and preparing to bring the complete Thriller experience to life. Audiences will enjoy legendary songs including “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’,” “Beat It,” “Billie Jean,” “Human Nature,” “P.Y.T.,” and, of course, “Thriller.”
The Album Ensemble is more than a concert—it is an intensive, intergenerational experience that brings musicians of different ages and backgrounds together to study and perform some of the greatest music ever recorded. Participants strengthen their musicianship, stage presence, confidence, and teamwork while creating a professional-level live production for the community.
Previous Album Ensemble performances have celebrated iconic projects including Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged in New York, U2’s The Joshua Tree, and Queen’s Greatest Hits.

The Album Ensemble brings musicians of all ages together in a powerful, intergenerational performance experience. Through collaboration, creativity, and stage training, students build confidence and community—while creating unforgettable live music moments.
The Album Ensemble features talented students and staff from Music Compound, ages 12 to 64. Musicians audition, rehearse for 10 weeks, and then take the stage for two live performances celebrating iconic albums and artists.
Past shows have included Dark Side of the Moon, Rumours, Sgt. Pepper’s, Nirvana Unplugged, Queen Greatest Hits, and The Joshua Tree. Our next featured set: Radiohead.
