The French organ suite, established as a genre in the 17th and 18th centuries, has been maintained as a compositional framework for over three centuries of organ music. St. Joseph Abbey organist Michael Bauer plays three exciting French suites: Clérambault's 18th century Suite du premier ton, Boëllmann's 19th century Suite gothique, and the 20th century Suite brève by Langlais.
All are welcome and admission is open - suggested donation of $10 at the door to support Music at the Abbey.
