He was so impressed with the story themes that are still relevanteven today, the impressive cast and the directors who went on to become stars, and the 47 awards the show garnered including a Peabody award, that he spent years researching the show and the creators; and wrote the definitive book about the production, “Mr. Novak: An Acclaimed Television Series.”
