About this Event
His NTU-SingHealth team’s technology in photoplethysmorphology(PPG) for cardiometabolic artificial intelligence is a cuffless, calibration-free, consumable-free approach for blood pressure and glucose estimation; applicable to peri-operative & critical care; home and ambulance monitoring; chronic-disease management & currently undergoing clinical research and rigorous trials with decentralised data capture. The method applies physics-informed neural network models on photoplethysmograph signals – and is called metasense. The method invasively estimates blood pressure and blood glucose, with blood pressure accuracy now approaching AAMI/ISO 81060-2 validation standards. The invention is entering commercialisation with a spin-off, and it is attracting funding agencies for regulatory pathways in HSA (Health Sciences Authority) and FDA thereafter.
