After rising from the grave in 2024 and haunting The Citadel once more in 2025, the spookiest folk‑rock celebration in the North West is back for its third triumphant resurrection — and this time, it’s happening on the most unholy night of the year.

Merry Helloween 2026 takes place on Halloween itself!
Like a venue awakened from a long enchanted slumber, The Citadel — mothballed for seven years (which sounds suspiciously like a curse, if you ask us) — has become the natural home for this annual night of devilishly good music, spine‑tingling harmonies, and communal mischief.
And who better to lead the revelry than Merry Hell, the beloved folk‑rock powerhouse whose songs of hope, humanity, rebellion and joy have lit up festivals and venues across the UK. With four Kettles at its core - Andrew, Virginia, John and Bob - the driving energy of Andy Jones on drums, Lee Goulding on keyboards, Colin Foster on bass, Simon Swarbrick on violin, and a spirit forged in the fires of the Tansads, the band bring a warmth and wildness that fits Halloween like a glove… or perhaps a skeletal hand.
