Merry & Booked is our cozy holiday edition of our Reading Retreat: four hours dedicated to reading, relaxing, sipping something warm, and enjoying a little holiday magic before the craziness of the season.
Come solo or bring a friend! This is your excuse to slow down, get out of the house, and actually make some progress on your TBR.

📚 Four hours of cozy reading time
☕ Access to our coffee + tea bar
🥐 One pastry per attendee
🍪 Holiday cookie decorating station with two cookies per attendee
💌 Holiday card decorating station
Help us spread a little extra holiday cheer! We'll have everything you need to decorate and write a holiday card for a local senior. After the event, we'll collect the cards and deliver them to a local senior living community.
🎁 WRAPPED BOOK SWAP
Bring one wrapped new or gently used book that you'd genuinely recommend to another reader. During the retreat, we'll have a holiday book swap so everyone leaves with a surprise new-to-them book!
We recommend choosing a book around a $10–$20 value.
🛍️ HOLIDAY SHOPPING
Need to finish your holiday shopping? Our shop will be open throughout the retreat, and attendees will receive 10% off all purchases made during the event!
🎄 WHAT TO BRING:
• Your current read (or two!)
• One wrapped book for the book swap
• A blanket
• An optional camping chair if you want to get extra cozy
• Water bottle
• Your coziest holiday PJs
Pajamas are HIGHLY encouraged. 🎅🏼🎀
We'll have tables and chairs available, but you're welcome to bring a camping chair, blanket, or anything else that makes your reading setup extra cozy.
This is a relaxed, come-as-you-are kind of morning. Read for four hours straight, take a break to decorate cookies, make a card for a senior, browse the shop, chat with other readers, or do a little bit of everything.
Consider this your permission slip to slow down during the busiest time of year. 🤎📚🎄
