This food bank serves 18 counties in Eastern Tennessee. They operate a Food for Kids program (not affiliated with the Mast Store and Merrell’s partnership) that provides more than 15,000 students with food in addition to hosting a school pantry program that 18 area schools participate in.
According to No Kid Hungry, nearly 14 million American children live in food insecure households where access to proper nutrition and sufficient meals is limited or unavailable. In parts of Mast Store’s four-state region, one in four children don’t know where they’ll receive their next meal.
