About this Event
Join us for a networking breakfast at the Merchant Adventurer's Hall. Meet fellow entrepreneurs and business owners and expand your client, support and peer network.
The Company of Merchant Adventurers of the City of York has a long and prestigious history of promoting enterprise, entrepreneurship and commercial ventures. They are an active force in the economic development of the City of York and its surrounds and its members are drawn from a wide range of professions and industries.
This event is delivered in partnership between the Company of Merchant Adventurers and Enterprise Works at the University of York. Join us for networking and insights from our guest speaker, Ed Reid, co-owner and MD of The Alternative Board UK
After a decade in senior sales, marketing and strategy roles with Diageo and Nestle, Ed moved into the SME world before investing in a TAB franchise in 2009. In 2017, he and Mags Fuller acquired the UK master franchise and have subsequently built a nationwide network supporting hundreds of business owners. He's particularly associated with peer-to-peer leadership, business-owner wellbeing, and high performance culture (including featuring on the High Performance podcast with Jake Humphries).
In his talk, he'll include how he's navigated the highs and lows of his career and business ownership journey, as well as challenge your own thinking on how you could choose to prioritise aspects of your own career moving forwards.
Ed’s talk will be followed by a networking session. Tea, Coffee and pastries will be served on arrival.
