Join Owen Clarkin, president of the Ottawa Field Naturalists' Club, as he takes us on a guided tour of Mer Bleue Bog. This jewel of the Ottawa Greenbelt is an opportunity to see the northern boreal landscape and is a habitat for many species of regionally and significantly rare plants, birds, and other wildlife. Right after the event, you can join OWSL for our native seed giveaway in Orléans: https://www.facebook.com/share/1KhQLaFfkQ/Parking is at P22 (https://www.google.ca/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=16Ram-x8rf7wuxoavdDqcamKr8MIYQ0PT&ll=45.39386306334943%2C-75.5312196&z=15). No registration needed, just show up. We will loosely aim to end the walk around 1:00.
Please note that our natural spaces contain ticks, so wear long sleeves and pants tucked into your socks, use insect repellent, and check for ticks after the walk. More information can be found at https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/ticks-tick-borne-diseases.html
If you would like to be added to our mailing list to be notified of future walks, please email [email protected].
