Join us to learn from Suspenders4Hope who will walk you through how to ask that question, and how to support someone in need. It’s a simple question, but asking directly about suicide is one of the hardest things to do and one of the most important questions we know how to ask. Learn how to navigate these conversations with the Share, Ask, Support method.
Note: this is a 2-hour event. Food and extended childcare will be provided.
Wichita Oasis is a non-religious community for people to come together to connect, be inspired, and feel empowered. We meet weekly on Sunday mornings and programming may include featured speakers, live local musicians, potlucks, service projects, game days, and more. The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation. For more information, find us at wichitaoasis.org
Kid’s Room. Two experienced and background-checked adults are ready to help make your child's experience at Wichita Oasis as fun and engaging as the main program.
Extension Room. For older kids and adults who don't require supervision but are not interested in the main program, the Extension Room offers a separate space to connect, play, create, and explore. Two background-checked adults will be there hanging out, so you'll never be alone. Feel free to bring a game, craft, book, or other activity to enjoy by yourself or with others.
