Pain can be a part of the menopause transition, but it can often go unrecognised, unexplained or simply put down to “getting older”.
We’re bringing together a morning of expert advice, movement, nourishment and deep rest to explore how we can better support our bodies through perimenopause and menopause.
9am–1pm at Bloom
HORMONES, CHRONIC PAIN, BONE HEALTH & WELLBEING
Join Dr Sam Morgan, BMS-accredited Menopause Specialist, for an accessible and informative session exploring the hormonal changes of perimenopause and menopause, how they can influence the way we experience pain, and practical ways to support your bones, health and wellbeing through midlife.
PILATES BARRE FLOW
Join Helena for a 45-minute strength-focused class combining Pilates and Barre-inspired movement, helping you build strength, mobility and balance in a supportive, low-impact way.
REFRESH & REFUEL
Pause for a cuppa, nourishing overnight oats and time to chat and connect.
PELVIC HEALTH
Join Liz Brown MSc, Pelvic Physiotherapist, for a practical and informative session on looking after your pelvic floor through menopause. We’ll explore the changes you might notice, what’s normal, and when it might be helpful to seek some extra support.
There’ll also be time to practise pelvic floor exercises together, guided by Liz, so you can feel more confident knowing what to do and how to do it.
YOGA NIDRA, MASSAGE & REIKI
We’ll finish with deep rest. Yoga Nidra is a guided practice designed to help you settle into deep physical and mental rest. You’ll be supported by bolsters and blankets, with gentle infrared warmth creating a cosy, calming environment.
Alongside the guided rest, you’ll have the option to receive massage and Reiki, giving your body and mind time to slow down, soften and switch off.
Massage can be a helpful part of looking after ourselves through menopause, with research suggesting it may help reduce anxiety, low mood and fatigue. Creating space to slow down, rest and reduce stress can also be an important part of supporting our overall wellbeing.
A morning to understand your body a little better, move in a way that feels good, ask questions, eat something nourishing and, most importantly, make some time for yourself.
