The Mendip Aurora is the third instalment of the Channel Events Dark Skies Night Trail Running Series.Join us for this epic night run around the grounds of Mendip Activity Centre and Sandford Quarry. There's a choice of 5km or 10km distances with the 10km being 2 laps.
Both the 5km and 10km routes use fantastic grounds of Mendip Activity Centre and the awesome Sandford Quarry with the added buzz of running at night, you may even be treated to a starlit view across the Bristol Channel if we get a clear night!
The 2027 event sees us return for the third time to this awesome venue. Within easy reach of Bristol, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare, Taunton and Bridgwater we hope to attract good numbers.
This event is family friendly. 8-16 year olds can run with a supervising adult (who keeps them in sight at all times) and 16-18 year olds can run solo with parent/guardian consent.
The event takes place on Saturday 20th March 2027 and will start from the Alpine Lounge Cafe at Mendip Activity Centre.
Registration Opens: 18:15
Runs Start: 10km - 19:25, 5km - 19:35
