About this Event
Join us for a special boat trip along the Union Canal, combined with a relaxed, zero-waste clothes-mending session. Bring an item such as socks or a T-shirt with a hole that has been waiting in your wardrobe for repair, and we’ll provide needles, thread, and all necessary materials. In a calm and friendly atmosphere, instead of throwing things away, we’ll mend one or two items while enjoying the views from the boat.
Date: 13th November 2026 (Friday)
Time: 10:30 - 12:30 (Please arrive 15 minutes before as the boat departs at 10:30)
Address: Polwarth Parish Church, 36–38 Polwarth Terrace
Language: English
Open to: Everyone with experinece of migration to Scotland
What to bring:
One or two clothing items you’d like to repair (socks or a smaller T-shirt/shirt work best — enough to mend something while still enjoying the views)
This session is part of the Communities Reduce, Reuse and Recycle project at ELREC with collaboration with AllAboard boat service.
