Domestic violence affects people every day, and creating lasting change requires all of us to be part of the solution. Men have a unique opportunity to help prevent abuse by leading with respect, setting positive examples, and speaking out against violence. As part of our commitment to preventing domestic violence through education and community engagement, Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland & Perry Counties (DVSCP) is proud to host Men Meeting the Moment, a men's luncheon on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Carlisle Country Club.
This event will focus on engaging men as allies, advocates, and leaders in the movement to end domestic violence.
Guests will enjoy lunch while hearing from keynote speaker and author Robert Attaway, followed by a panel discussion exploring practical ways men can help prevent domestic violence, promote healthy relationships, and become allies for survivors.
The panel will feature Dr. Marcellus Taylor, Manager of Inclusion and Culture at The GIANT Company; Hampden Township Chief of Police Jason Yerg; Dr. Sam Benbow, Professor at Shippensburg University; and Matthew Sadler, DVSCP Board President. Together, they will share their unique perspectives on the important role men can play in creating lasting, positive change.
