Phil Shapiro Memorial Service -- October 17, 2026at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Ithaca Church

Service: 3 – 5 pm
Reception & sing: 5 – 7 pm
There will be a memorial for Phil Shapiro on October 17, 2026, at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Ithaca Church in Ithaca, NY, from 3 pm to 7 pm. There will be a formal service from about 3 to 5, at which people will speak or sing in memory of Phil.
Following this, there will be a reception in the fellowship hall of the church, and following the reception, there will be an opportunity to meet to talk about memories in the sanctuary, and a music jam/sing in the fellowship hall, focusing on songs that Phil liked to sing.
If you would like to speak or present a song during the formal part of the service, please contact us and we will pass it along to Phil's wife Mary. Everyone is welcome and we would love to have you here.
