Join the volunteers of Seven-O-Seven Operations for a special Christmas rail adventure as we travel behind vintage diesel locomotives from Newport to Seymour and return.
Celebrate the festive season with fellow members, family and friends aboard a special heritage rail journey through Victoria's railway network.

This special Christmas train is exclusively for members of Seven-O-Seven Operations. Tickets may only be booked by current 707 Operations members.

The Journey:
Our diesel-hauled Members Christmas Train will depart from Newport Metro Station at 2:10pm, travelling via Brooklyn and the Albion–Jacana freight-only lines before arriving at Seymour at approximately 4:30pm.
Upon arrival, you'll have approximately three hours to explore Seymour and enjoy everything this historic regional town has to offer.
Seymour offers a charming regional atmosphere, rich railway heritage and plenty of opportunities to explore. Take a stroll through town, visit local heritage attractions or simply relax and enjoy some time with family and friends.
There are several pubs, cafés and takeaway food outlets located within easy walking distance of Seymour Railway Station.
Please note that dining venues may have limited availability, particularly for larger groups. We recommend booking a table in advance if you intend to dine at one of the local pubs or restaurants.
On Board:
All seating aboard the 707 Operations Members Christmas Train is unreserved, giving you the flexibility to move throughout the train, enjoy different carriages and socialise with family and friends.
Our popular Club 1 lounge carriage will be open throughout the journey, offering a selection of beers, wines, hot and cold drinks and light refreshments available for purchase.
Whether you're catching up with fellow members, enjoying the scenery or simply soaking up the atmosphere of a heritage diesel rail journey, there's something for everyone.
Timetable – Saturday 21 November 2026:
2:10pm Depart NEWPORT Metro Station
4:30pm Arrive SEYMOUR Station
7:30pm Depart SEYMOUR Station
9:30pm Arrive NEWPORT Metro Station
Booked passengers will receive confirmed departure and arrival timings via email and SMS a few days before the journey.
IMPORTANT DEPARTURE INFORMATION:
Passengers must join the train at NEWPORT METRO STATION ONLY.
It is not possible to join the train from the Seven-O-Seven Operations depot at Newport. Please do not attend the depot to board the train, as you will be redirected to Newport Metro Station.
Tickets and Membership:
To join our Members Christmas Train, you must be a member of Seven-O-Seven Operations.

Please note: Tickets for this year's Members Christmas Train are for rail travel only. Food, beverages and other personal expenses at Seymour are not included.
