About this Event
MELT Lab consists of theatrical games, movement improvisations and creative tasks, as well as a series of individual & collective explorations. The workshop ends with a facilitated discussion and some time to relax and socialise in the beautiful space of The Sanctuary&Soul.
Whether you already have a practice in theatre/dance or this is your first time participating in a creative movement workshop, MELT is open to all levels/experiences, and aims at accommodating and creatively challenging all its participants.
Please make sure you wear suitable clothes that allow for movement, and that you are comfortable with removing your shoes. The workshop has integrated breaks but it would be advisable that you bring a water bottle with you to keep hydrated. Should you have any questions about the workshop, feel free to contact us through our IG page: @melt_movementlab or by emailing either of these emails:

MELT team:
Nasia:
Hi!! I am Nasia Papadopoulou, a Greek-born artist based in London. My work moves between acting, movement and physical theatre, exploring the expressive power of the body. I trained at the Drama Studio of Thessaloniki and the Duende School of Ensemble Physical Theatre, and hold an MA in Movement Direction from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I’ve performed in Greece and the UK, and I’m a member of Mazi Theatre Company. Alongside performing, I teach acting and movement at Drama Classes London and lead my own class in East London. I have also directed several productions, including a recent piece presented at the Voilà! Europe Theatre Festival.
Delicia:
Hello! I’m Delicia, a UK based dance artist & movement practitioner working within a range of different areas, including performance, choreography, education & community projects. I hold a BA in combined creative arts (Dance & Literature) and an MRes in Choreography & Performance. I am currently working as a freelance dance artist & educator, a lecturer in performing arts and the artistic co-director of AllouAqui Dance Theatre. Often in a mix of movement, imagery, text and sound my work takes various shapes and forms, from dance theatre performances to improvised participatory projects and screen dance pieces. My ongoing creative research is exploring movement as an inter space, a meeting place, a link between ideas and practices, realities and fantasies, texts and bodies, the individual and the collective!
