What is "Melodies of Hope" and who is organizing this event?

Meloodies of Hope is a Walk to End Alzheimer's Team started by Colby Junge in 2024 when he was just 14 years old. Colby and his family lost his Grandmother in 2021 after a 7 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was a lover of music and Elvis's biggest fan! Colby enjoyed spending time listening to music on her boom box with her. Even when she forgot the names of her children and grandchildren, she would listen to Elvis and hum along to the music.

While grieving her loss, Colby found purpose in getting involved with the Walk to End Alzheimer's. He started a team, called it Melodies of Hope, and organized a charity concert to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. Colby's involvement with the Walk has grown as he is now a committee member for the Walk and also participates in advocating for the cause at the MA State House. He was presented with a an Official Citiation from the MA State Senate at the 2026 Melodies of Hope concert for his volunteerism and dedication to the cause. Colby sets his fundraising goals higher each year and with the help of his family and cousin, Lou Perez, organized this evening of laughs to further fundraise for the Alzheimer's Association. This Comedy for a Cause event is set for the evening before the New England Walk to End Alzheimer's that takes place annually in Andover, MA. It is his final fundraising push! We hope you will join us to honor Colby's Grandmother as well as your loved ones who are suffering or have suffered from this devaststaing disease, and fight Alzheimer's together.
